What is App Development?
App development is like building digital LEGO® sets! Using block-based coding (MIT App Inventor), kids will drag and drop colorful blocks to create fully functional Android apps. No typing required - just logic and creativity!
In this course, students will learn how apps like games, calculators, and weather trackers are made. They'll discover how buttons, images, and sounds work together to create interactive experiences.
Each week focuses on a new app project:
- 🎮 Game: Create a "Ball Bounce" game with score tracking
- 🎨 Drawing: Build a digital sketchpad with color picker
- 📱 Utility: Make a QR code scanner for real-world use
- 🎵 Music: Develop a simple soundboard app
- 🌦️ Weather: Build a location-based weather app
By the end, students will publish their apps to Google Play and share them with friends and family!
